10th EAI International Conference on Communications and Networking in China

August 15–17, 2015 | Shanghai, People's Republic of China

International Workshop on MMCN

Introduction

The ChinaCom Workshop on Machine-to-Machine Communications and Networking will be held in conjunction with ChinaCom 2015 in Shanghai, China, 15-17 August, 2015. Accepted and presented papers will be published together with ChinaCom 2015 proceedings and available on IEEE eXplore database and indexed by Engineering Information (EI).

Due to huge application potential and market potential, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, which denotes that a large number of autonomous machines and devices share information and collaborate with each other, has been considered as a new technology revolution and attracted much attention in both academia and industry in recent years. The objective of thisworkshop is to provide a forum for scientists, researchers, engineers, and students to present the state-of-the-art developments in M2M communications and networking technologies, exchange new ideas on recent research findings, point outpotential future applications and research directions, and discuss fundamental and practical challenges and solutions, in the form of technical papers and tutorials.

Topics of interest

We are looking for original papers spanning all aspects of M2M communications and networking. Possible topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • M2M system architecture and components
  • Medium access technologies and protocols for M2M communications
  • Spectrum and radio resource management for M2M
  • M2M channel and traffic models
  • Green M2M communications
  • Cloud support for M2M applications
  • Device, data and service management for M2M
  • M2M and vehicular technology
  • M2M and smart grid
  • Mobility management for M2M
  • Security, trust and privacy of M2M devices and services
  • New M2M applications, services, and business models
  • Testbeds and field trials
  • Current and upcoming standardization efforts
